I have used this product about 15 years ago until I had my son but I had to stop using them because I suddenly developed irritations caused by them (must have been because the level of my hormones became derranged due to pregnancy). Monday last week, I was looking around Boots and noticed that this product have been reformulated so I thought I'll have another go. I got chatting to their beauty consultant/dermatologist and she gave me a skin test to find out which ones would suit my skin type (dry and oily... a combination of everything that you don't want your skin to be in... weird!). Anyway, as I didn't want to end up wasting my money just in case I get the irritations I had about 10 years ago (Gosh! I'm that old!), I've opted for the trial size, which cost me £20 for the whole thing.

Honestly, I've only been using this product again for just over a week now but I can already notice that my skin became smoother and brighter. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that this 3-step skin care continues to work.

The beauty consultant/dermatologist told me only to use this moisturizer on dehydrated area instead of applying all over my face (in my case, that's my cheeks and neck. So that's what I do then I apply my anti-ageing moisturiser all over my face and neck. That's right, I'm not embarassed to admit that I use anti-ageing product ;)

FOTD: BOLD BEHAVIOUR

I'm always excited about trying new products that I thought I'd give Rimmel London's Colour Rush Quad Eye Shadow. I bought it together with other 2 eyeshadow palettes because they were on 3 for 2 offer at Boots.

Anyway, here was I came up with and I must say that I was quite surprised to find this product pretty good! It really is a user friendly in a way that I found blending them quite easy. This photo was taken the first time I tried the palette and with little time to do my make up due to my parental duties ;)... Yeah, I had to drop my little one at school early in the morning :), so I didn't take this photo until I came back home.

Overall, my verdict would be... I'm glad I tried this range of Rimmel London make up range as I never thought they would be as good as they turned out to be and with the price... well worth the try.

Sorry about the amount of photos that I've posted... I think it's now becoming my trademark... fotd/cam-whoring ;)

West End Show

I'm so excited about our London trip specially that my bf has already booked tickets for Chicago and Wicked! Woohoo! It's not until November but I could barely wait. I've tried to convice my bf that we should go somewhere between now and then as the excitement is truly killing me but I think he wants me to enjoy the novelty of being excited occasionally ;)

Anyway, because of that particular excitement, I've been looking for some musical clips on YT and found these ones...

The clips are not from Wicked nor Chicago but they really are great and I'd love to see them whenever an opportunity arises.

The first one I found when I typed in Ruthie Henshall out of curiousity as to what she's been doing in the past being one of the top West end leading ladies. I really really enjoyed this one... it's funny and it's my current favourite. I could watch it over and over again and I won't get bored.



Now, you see what I mean? ;)

The second clip is that of our home grown West End leading lady who has also dominated the Broadway at some points of her career. Of course... no other than our very own Lea Salonga! She's simply amazing performing Nancy numbers from Oliver. She certainly has managed to emulate the essence of Nancy's character and the story behind the songs. I think I've got a bit of a Nancy in my myself... Feisty yet vulnerable... Grrr...! ;)

Unwanted comments

When I've started blogging, I knew that not everyone would want to waste their time reading my posts. However, I have met some girls here whom I've built a great relationship. I've never had so much fun meeting girls online the way I've done here. Few of the girls here actually feels like real sisters to me eventhough I haven't met any of them in person. I love the fact that I'm able to share my love and passion for girly things such as make up with some of you guys and being able to learn from your valuable tips and secrets about various aspects of life (could it be beauty, fashion, health, finance... etc... etc...)

However, in the past couple of days, I've got a couple of not vey nice comments left on my post and chatbox. They were both anonymous (so it only shows that those people have nothing better to do but have a go at people online) and I won't be surprise if they came from exactly the same person. I haven't got a clue who it was but it seem to be obvious that this person has been reading my posts and looking at the photos I have posted. Now, I think that it's just sad that anyone would do anything like that just to try and ruin others' day just because they're not happy with themselves. Now, if you are in the right state of mind, why would you read or even waste your time browsing through a webpage if you simply don't like it? Obviously, I must be doing something right here to meet great girls and attract some unwanted browsers who's happiness lies in bitching about others' posts or looks.

Now, I've never claimed to be a beautiful person nor offered any advice on anything on my posts because I've never considered myself as a person who has any credintials in doing so. My posts here are all about the things that are personally related to me, nothing to do with anyone else. I don't remember saying anything in my post that would offend anyone and yet I got a nasty comment that was uncalled for. I ask myself... what was it all about? What have I done?

So, whoever you are who has been fond of leaving nasty comments on my page, I hope that one day, you'd find the true happiness in your life to make you feel satisfied of what you have and work on what you haven't. Please leave me alone as I haven't done anything wrong to you.

I cannot honestly find any excuse for what has happened last Sunday. I've been really really good in the past month until I visited Vivienne Westwood boutique and waaaaaaah.....!!!!!! I just couldn't help it. I've been such a bad bad girl! Buuu...huuuuuu!

It was a miserable Sunday and I hate getting my feet wet so I've decided to dig out my winter boots... yes... flat ones... great for running after my bus specially when Sam is running late for school!

This is the reason why I'm whinning. I was on no buy mode but I just couldn't resist walking out of the boutique without this precious thing . It really is huge! I took the photo of it sitting on my pillow to give you an idea on how big this bag is. I thought this would be great for travelling as a hand carry luggage as I could put all my flight essential in it.

I suppose, my bf and I needed to recover from that madness so we decided to have something to eat at Wagamama Japanese Restaurant and I fancied some noodles so I ordered this Seafood Ramen and it was just... YUM!

After my madness at the Vivienne Westwood boutique, we went to my favourite designer shop to see what I could find using my £50 worth voucher towards something I fancy and saw a lovely pair of YSL stilettos. I love them and asked the shop assistant to hang on to them. However, she can only put them on hold for 1 week so if I don't get them on time, they're going back on the shelf. If ever, I just hope that no one grabs them. Never mind, we're going to London on the end of November so I might find something even better.

Food

>>COOKING AND BAKING SESSION>>

Last Friday, I've decided to cook Lamb Chops With Minted Hollandaise Sauce but the sauce didn't turn out as it should have. Neil and Sam have been kind enough to tell me that even my Hollandaise sauce didn't turn out right, the meal turned out nice. However, I just couldn't stand the disappointment that I've decided to get it right the next day and hurrah!... I did it! I'm now starting to feel sorry for my boys that if this happens again, they'll have to keep eating the same meal until I get it right. Well, there is always McDonald's ha ha ha!

Sam's plate. Can't you tell by the 4 asparagus that he didn't even manage to eat? Gosh, it's a nightmare to try and make him eat his veg.

Sam has been requesting carrot cake but I still feel intimidated to bake it on my own so I only do it with my bf.
