SALE: FASHION & BEAUTY

>>>30 DAYS OF FASHION AND BEAUTY EVENT >>>
~~~oOo~~~
Boots is currently on their '30 days od fashion and beauty' sale promo so I thought I might as well take advantage of this opportunity to grab a few things. This promotion offers 3 for 2 on almost all of the beauty and fashion products and honestly, it was so tempting to come out with a lot more goodies but I've tried to hang on to my pennies for our London Trip in November ;)
~~~oOo~~~

The magazine comes free with every purchase at Boots using the advantage card. I needed a headband as my other one broke :( and I thought as they were on 3 for 2 offer, might as well get a few. I also took this opportunity to grab 3 pieces of lovely Bourjois make up. How did I feel after shopping? Not too guilty as I knew that I saved quite a lot plus earned a few £s worth of advantage points ;)

Guess who's back?

Hello everyone! Thank you guys for your kind messages whilst I've been busy with my new job. Although I have not been able to update my site, I've never failed to visit your pages to find out what you guys have been up to :)

Anyway, as what I've been saying since last week, I've been so busy with work and my body needed reconditioning to cope with having to work again ha ha ha! Gosh! As much as I was excited to start my new job, I was nervous as well. Being my first post as a Registered Nurse, I was worried of the expectations my colleagues may have on me but they all have been supportive and I feel blessed to work with such a great team. I know that it won't always be like this, having to work in the biggest ward in the hospital but I like challenges ;)

So... dearies! A few of you have expressed how much you've missed my posts (have you really?). Oh! I missed posting stuff too! However, as you all know, I've been spending my fortune in the past 3 months and you might find my posts in the coming months a little disappointing. Now, that I've started working, I am aiming to save some dosh for my holiday in December and a deposit for the house my boyfriend and I are planning to buy by next year. Oh! We're also planning a 2 to 3 days holiday in Scotland next month and it'll cost us a little fortune ;) whilst my son spends his birthday in Spain.

Moving on to a different story... Last Sunday, my boyfriend decided that we went to watch a film as I was so tired from my long days shifts, I didn't feel like cooking (again!), so we've decided to grab some lunch in a Chinese restaurant and buffet was a great option as it was quick. After lunch, we went to shop around whilst waiting for the film showing (didn't start until 17.10) and I ended up in Boots. My boyfriend has decided to wait outside for me but he became impatient that he followed me inside (I didn't realize that I have been in for 45 minutes) and bluntly expressed how annoyed he was with me. All I could do was apologize and promised that it won't happen again. My boyfriend is not the kind of person to easily forget the mistakes I made (and about to make)... I suppose that's one thing I'll have to deal with. I guess, I've to avoid shopping around for make up when he's with me. I hate annoying people specially when it comes to my personal shopping... I've decided that from now on, I'll do it on my own time and my in my own space. That way, I won't have to feel guilty about having to take my time and actually enjoy shopping.

Anyway, after shopping we went to see the film 'Mongol'. It was a great film and we've really enjoyed it. I love periodic films and has always been fascinated with different cultures. I've onced watched a documentary about Genghis Khan on history channel that when I found out that it has been turned into a major motion picture, I thought, I've gotta watch it... and I did!

After watching the film, as we were not particularly hungry although we had to eat something, we've decided to pop in YO! Sushi! for a light meal and headed back home.

It was a hot Sunday so I've decided to wear something really light so I opted for this little top. I've never thought of buying anything from Primark but when I saw this top, I thought it was cute so I grabbed it. I teamed it with my Ted Baker belt to give an omph to the outfit (that was what I was trying to do anyway ha ha ha!). However, I don't think my boyfriend was keen about the way I dressed up last Sunday but then again, I felt comfortable in them and who cares. I might have been wearing a £5 (around $9 USD) top from Primark that day but I also wore my Gucci shoes... So... Bleh!

The shopping trip that annoyed my boyfriend :P

I've never tried No.7 before and since they were offering gift pack and the stuff I wanted were half price, I thought, why not?

Welcome to my vanity corner

In every household, we have our own favourite room, corner, floor... etc... etc... Mine is my kitchen, where I cook and bake yummy food, my bathroom which is my sanctuary and my bedroom (my other sanctuary), where I take my beauty rest (as if), and make myself... well... sort of... beautiful (Don't raise your eyebrows... beauty is in the eyes of the beholder).

I'd like to be organized and I hate doing things where I find myself looking for things. I'd like them to be within my reach... I'd like to find things where I think they are... I hate turning things upside down just to find something that I'd like to use. So, as you can see, my dressing table looks... well... pretty busy. I'd like everything to be infront of me... If I need something, I'd like it to be there... readily available. I'd also like to keep this area clean and tidy... It may not be as exciting as your own but it gives me pleasure whenever I look at this corner. This is me... everything in this table tells story about me... So feel free to browse... You have my permission :)

These are my mood boxes... whenever I feel sad and all alone :(... I look at them and they make me feel better. I copied this idea from my son when he was about 4. I found him one day fixing a shoe box... He had some colourful and glittery things with him and when I asked him what he was doing, he said... he was making his mood box. Then he explained to me what it meant... He said... He wanted his box to be as pretty as it could be because there were times when he felt lonely (being an only child... Yeah, they call it 'only child syndrome') that he needed something to cheer him up. After he fixed his 'mmod box' with all the decorations and stuff... he filled it with his favourite things... Things that made made him happy. I thought it was really sweet for a 4 year old boy to come up with the idea. H emight have taken the idea from somewhere else but I just don't remember asking him where. Well, I thought it's a bloody marvelous idea so I thought, I'll have my own too!

I've been trying to manage with just one box (my Estee Lauder vanity case), but I've been buying quite a lot of stuff recently so I found a good use for my Ted Baker box (shirt) whilst I'm waiting for my make-up train case to arrive.

Lady of Leisure ;)

Another boring day for a lady of leisure (that's the posh name for a jobless woman ;)), so here was I fidling with my new MMU again.

Jheng, I've only been using my Susan Lucci microdermabrasion kit for 6 days and it's already showing a great result. I'll give it a few more days to review the product so bear with me.

I'm so thrilled of the glow it gives my skin. Truly amazing!

My Elizabeth Arden Loot!

I was bored last Sunday while I was waiting for my son to come home from his karate grading (He's just passed his 9th belt... Purple stripe) so I've decided to wonder around my favourite shopping mall in Nottingham and ended up in Boots. Guess what I found! These lot!!!

I bought a new blusher in terracota (ish) shade plus my primer. I love this primer as it doesn't give me any break out and it feels so light on my skin as well.
My new purchases

Love the packaging of these two babies

Fancy a bit of Catherine Zeta Jones in your hand bag? The packaging looks so elegant that you can show it off when retouching on a night out or just simply hanging around with friends.

See what I mean?

This was my gift... Amazing!

How generous is that? Obviously, there's a storage tub, Lash Optimizer Primer with Conditioner, Double Density Maximum Volume Mascara in Black Brown, Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant, Double Ended Lip Gloss Wand Do in Pink Champagne and Radiant Mauve, Intervene Pause & Effect Moisture Cream SPF15, Elizabeth Arden Mediterranean Eau do Parfum, Prevage anti aging treatment (night and day respectively)... Why have they got lengthy names?

That's the whole loot!
