SPRING MAKE UP AND ATTEMPT TO CREATE A SPRING LOOK

GOODBYE WINTER BLUES HELLO COLOURFUL SPRING!!!

I'm already getting feed up of cold winter and I can't wait for it to get warmer soon. In the past 2 weeks that I've been on my annual leave, I've never even been bothered much about putting my usual make up. I've been goind out wearing foundation, powder, eyebrows (I just draw them ;)) and a pale lipgloss. I haven't been bothering myself much about eye colours and blushers and I guess it's because it's always miserable outside.

So...! Since my bf has invited me (or was it me who invited myself?) to join him for lunch today, I thought I'd make an effort to do something a little cheerful and came up with ideas of wearing spring colours. This season, green, orange, yellow and purple are in so I thought, I'll have a go at it.

Below are a few items of make up I bought last week.

Benefit Concealer... Lyin' Eyes. I'm happy with the coverage it gives me and it's dead easy to control when using it.

Revlon Spring Eyeshadows. Make A Sheen

Pretty Colours

My attempt to create a spring look using Revlon Make a Sheen eyeshadow in Espresso (Like express yourself), Elleana Lipgloss (from Shen), top from Oasis (sale) and waistcoat from Karen Millen (sale). Hit or miss? You'll be the judge

WARNING: FROM THIS POINT IS PURE CAMWHORING ;)

I barely wore eye make up in the past 2 week and it felt weird doing it again. I've only managed a 3 and a half hour sleep (I chatted to sis Nikki until 1.30am and woke up at 5 to get ready to take my son to school and guess what?... I chatted to sis Nikki again when I woke up ha ha ha!) so I looked really really tired but I think my new Benefit concealer helped.
Oh! I've had my hair done as well hence the dark side of me ha ha ha! My hair colour this time is darker than my natural but never mind, it'll soon fade ha ha ha!

FOTD: FRONT COVER RAINBOW EYES

>>>FOTD/CAMWHORING: FRONT COVER RAINBOW EYES>>>

I have not been in the mood to play with my make up lately and I think it's because it's been miserable outside most of the time which in effect brings me certain degrees of low mood :(

Gosh! It's freezing outside that jumpers, scarves and gloves are coming out. As much as I love that romantic feeling that winter brings us, I can't deny that I hate being painfully cold. Why has it got be bloody freezing? Grrr!

Anyway, you're probably wondering... what has it got to do with FOTD? Exactly... none whatsoever ;) Just having a little bit of a moan ;)

This morning... as my usual mornings of being off work and get on with my parental responsibilities such as dropping my little boy at school, I don't get much time to do my make up. However, this morning, I felt like wearing colour but didn't have plenty of time to do that. I checked the time and I only had 5 minutes to do my eye make up. I had my Front Cover eye palette infront of me so I picked it up and applied a bit of eye shadow and I was off.

When I came home from Sam's school this is how I look... I thought... Yikes! I looked like death!

...so... I've decided to add more colour to give myself that 'pick me up mood' and I came up with this. I guess, I looked a bit better than I did earlier.

Introducing: My friend, Rachael

Since we've finished our nursing course, we really haven't had the chance to see each other and it's because we have been busy looking for jobs and when we eventually found one, we became busy with them. So last week,we've tried to sort something out for today since we were all off work. The original plan was to watch SATC (Would you believe that, my friends have not been to see the film? How bizzare!). Anyway, since it has been showing for about over a month, they only show it once a day in the cinema and 8pm was a little too late for all of us so we've decided not to. As Sarah and Mandy (2 of our friends) had to pick up their kids from school (I've managed to arrange something for mine), Rach and I headed to Boots and looked for something to grab. As she was going on holiday, she wanted new make up and she prefered neutrals so we ended up at Benefit counter where the MUA wasn't busy and I suggested that Rachael had make over to get an idea on what would suit her... so she did! While her make up was being done, I've been sneeky enough to take photos. I teased her that I would post them on Facebook for our friends to see what she's been up to ha ha ha!

Anyway, here's my friend, Rachael and her Benefit make over.

Rachael being nosey again... asking about products

The MUA used a lot of products on such a simple make up and here was Rach trying to figure out which ones she would buy

Such a tough decision to make but she got there at the end :)
Couple of weeks ago, I've planned to pick up a few Benefit make up but I've spent my money on something else. I could hardly believe I sat on Benefit make up counter without buying anything. I've been wanting the paste erase but honestly, I stood strong... Next payday!
