FOTD: Spring Make Up

FOTD: SPRING MAKE UP + LUNCH DATE

Hello guys! Missed me? Just another update on my attempt to create a spring make up look using Revlon Make a Sheen in Olive it up (865) on my eyes and MAC Lipgelee in Jellybabe on my lips. Outfit by Jane Norman, Therapy by House of Fraser and Karen Millen.

Anyway, my bf took me out for lunch today, yipeee! We both had 3 course meals (plus a glass of rose wine and red wine... and a cup of coffee) and all plates were cleared up hahaha! I felt so lardy after the meal, I could hardly breath hahaha! Good job I had to walk a bit to get fetch my little one from school and to get home so that helped worked my heavy lunch off. Thanks for the lovely lunch honey!!! Love you loads!!!

I had to travel on a bus to get to my bf's place and soon as I met my bf I complained of how cold I was and when I took my coat off my bf said to me... 'no wonder you're freezing!'. I thought 3 layers of tops would make me warm enough but I've to remember it's still winter here hahaha! Vanity!!!

So, soon as I got myself ready, I took a FEW photos. Hahaha! Sis Nikki knows what I mean about FEW ;)

PHEW!!! You thought it was never gonna end, didn't you?

GIRLY STUFF

JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING

I fancied a few make up last weekend so I nip in MAC shop to see what I could grab. Since I got the Charm make up brush set from sis Jheng, I've been wanting to get another slanted eyeshadow brush as well as the pencil brush. I find the pencil brush great for creating smokey eyes as I'm able to control the application of eye make up.

Mini MAC haul... eye make up remover, StudioFix foundation in NC35, pump dispenser, 272 and 219 eyeshadow brushes

One of the lights on my old make up mirror broke (stopped working for some reasons) so I've decided to get a new one and found an even cuter one :D

My old scruffy mirror with one broken light :(

I much prefer the new one :D

I'll definitely be travelling with this :D cutie

SPRING MAKE UP AND ATTEMPT TO CREATE A SPRING LOOK

GOODBYE WINTER BLUES HELLO COLOURFUL SPRING!!!

I'm already getting feed up of cold winter and I can't wait for it to get warmer soon. In the past 2 weeks that I've been on my annual leave, I've never even been bothered much about putting my usual make up. I've been goind out wearing foundation, powder, eyebrows (I just draw them ;)) and a pale lipgloss. I haven't been bothering myself much about eye colours and blushers and I guess it's because it's always miserable outside.

So...! Since my bf has invited me (or was it me who invited myself?) to join him for lunch today, I thought I'd make an effort to do something a little cheerful and came up with ideas of wearing spring colours. This season, green, orange, yellow and purple are in so I thought, I'll have a go at it.

Below are a few items of make up I bought last week.

Benefit Concealer... Lyin' Eyes. I'm happy with the coverage it gives me and it's dead easy to control when using it.

Revlon Spring Eyeshadows. Make A Sheen

Pretty Colours

My attempt to create a spring look using Revlon Make a Sheen eyeshadow in Espresso (Like express yourself), Elleana Lipgloss (from Shen), top from Oasis (sale) and waistcoat from Karen Millen (sale). Hit or miss? You'll be the judge

WARNING: FROM THIS POINT IS PURE CAMWHORING ;)

I barely wore eye make up in the past 2 week and it felt weird doing it again. I've only managed a 3 and a half hour sleep (I chatted to sis Nikki until 1.30am and woke up at 5 to get ready to take my son to school and guess what?... I chatted to sis Nikki again when I woke up ha ha ha!) so I looked really really tired but I think my new Benefit concealer helped.
Oh! I've had my hair done as well hence the dark side of me ha ha ha! My hair colour this time is darker than my natural but never mind, it'll soon fade ha ha ha!

FOTD: Revlon Quad Eye Shadow

I didn't particularly feel like trying new things today so I've decided to do my usual make up (neutral). This is like my everyday make up and because I've been doing it this way for many years, I find it easier to get ready early in the morning. I find using darker colours easy to do as even when you make mistakes, they're not that difficult to correct. However, when I'm not in the mood (or feeling under the weather), my blending skills seem to go down the drain and I end up with panda eyes instead of smokey eyes ha ha ha!

Having clear eyes does make the difference. My secret? Optrex for dry eyes but my ophthalmologist told me that any lubricating eye drops will do the job. I can't use ordinary eye drops because I've got dry eyes and when I don't use one, my eyes tend to feel gritty by mid morning as well as horrible redness.

Sorry about this one guys... it's badly blurred out, isn't it?
