My Sunday shopping spree (shopping marathon more like it!)

Hmmm... more shopping!

Well, I thought it was going to be a quiet Sunday efternoon with my boyfriend but... It turned out not to be so quiet :)... We've decided to walk around Nottingham High Street and ended up spending more dosh on stuff... Well, I felt happy at the end of that afternoon shopping because I came home with such fantastic loot!

So, here were the stuff we found... Ta...dah!

My boyfriend saw MacQueen boutique and got intrigued that he led me there. I try to avoid boutiques when I'm on a budget as they tend to be expensive but with my boyfriend leading me... I thought... what the heck! I didn't plan to buy dress yesterday by the way and came out the boutique with 2 dresses and a basque.

I really liked this little black dress. Very very Audrey Hepburn indeed! I thought, I can wear this on my friend's wedding reception in June.

My boyfriend didn't particularly like this one but I felt in love with it. The colour is gorgeous! I've even tried it with my flared jeans and looked fabulous!

Now! When we saw this... it looked really great but the price was a bit steep (£139.00...specially when I was on a budget to start with). When I've decided to buy the two dresses my boyfriend asked me to try this basque on, which I declined at first but her was persistent... He said... just for a laugh. So, I tried it on to keep him quiet ;)... Hah! I really liked it! It fitted perfectly and very very Dita Von Teese indeed! So I bought it! My boyfriend did offer to pay for it but I declined. I've always been independent and the thought of my man buying my personal stuff makes me feel uneasy (I know what you're thinking).

My boyfriend is already contemplating of me wearing this basque with leather hot pants (which I've got), black fishnet and thigh high boots (got 2 pairs)... The question is... where on earth am I suppose to go dressed up like that? Hmmm... drop the idea!

I intended to buy a pair of Kurt Geiger shoes to match my little black dress and ended up buying 2 pairs. Again, what the heck! We only live once :)

My Warehouse loot! Gorgeous belt!

My boyfriend and I after whole afternoon of shopping (Gosh! I looked like death! I was so tired that I didn't even bother looking at the mirror let alone re-touching my make up!). This was taken at around 6.00 in the evening in pub for a quiet drink. Well, I suppose, after what I've put him through, it was just fair that I bought him a drink :)

My Friday loot (25th April 2008)

Another happy day for moi! Although I keep telling myself that I'll give my shopping spree a rest but I just can't help it. I'll try to ban myself from vanity shopping one day but only for a while I guess.

My latest Everyday Mineral delivery although I was a bit disappointed that couple of brushes I've ordered were missing. I hope they'll get delivered soon.

My Friday afternoon shopping just before I pick my son up from school.

My Sam needed a hair cut so I took him to a salon (£13.99 for a 9 year-old-boy hair cut! That's rediculous!). Everytime I take him for a hair cut, I always end up buying hair care product for myself. This time, I thought I'd give this a try. I've used Tigi shampoo and conditioner in the past (the beadhead line) and I really like them. I love the scent. I must say I prefer the catwalk range than beadhead as it makes my hair feel and smell great. I was amazed with how long the scent lasted! I normally spray perfume on my crown but the first time I used this product, I didn't bother doing it. I thought, I'd see how it goes.

MAC! Of course! Shopping won't be complete without visiting MAC studio! I bought more eye palettes, lipstick, shadesticks, couple of brushes and a blusher! Love them!

Well, I thought I might as well have a look at Shiseido counter and I came out with these pretty little things and samples too!

A one proud mummy

Yesterday (27th April 2008) my son attended the St. George's cubs scout parade. So, the proud mother that I am (always), took him to the venue and decided to take a few photos using my phone (I wish I brought my digicam). When my boyfriend came to meet us, he then took this photo. Looking at this photograph makes me realise that my son is really growing up and nothing (or no one) will ever stop that! We have been so close... he's been my bestfriend (my beauty critic as well and believe me... an honest one as well. He's compared me to different women including Morticia Adams... he thought I looked like her when I had my hair coloured in nearly jet black few years ago). He knows that one day, he'll be a fully grown up man he he will lead his own life (sniffle sniffle), his own family... but he knows as well that even when he's 60 or 90 years old... he will always be my baby. He wants to study astro physics when he grows up but I'm worried that a career on that field might mean that he'll have to move away from me. He wanted to be a doctor when he was younger and I'm trying to encourage him to reconsider... I hope he does. Well... it's too early still so I don't think I should be freeting just yet.

I know he didn't look happy in this one. He hates it when I baby him in the public :(

This photo has got a funny story behind it... I was jsut paying for my tops and belt at the Warehouse shop when I heard the parade was approaching where I was... I asked the shop assisstant to hang on to my shopping whilst I took this photo... Ha ha ha! Even my boyfriend thought it was hilarious!

Welcome to my vanity corner

In every household, we have our own favourite room, corner, floor... etc... etc... Mine is my kitchen, where I cook and bake yummy food, my bathroom which is my sanctuary and my bedroom (my other sanctuary), where I take my beauty rest (as if), and make myself... well... sort of... beautiful (Don't raise your eyebrows... beauty is in the eyes of the beholder).

I'd like to be organized and I hate doing things where I find myself looking for things. I'd like them to be within my reach... I'd like to find things where I think they are... I hate turning things upside down just to find something that I'd like to use. So, as you can see, my dressing table looks... well... pretty busy. I'd like everything to be infront of me... If I need something, I'd like it to be there... readily available. I'd also like to keep this area clean and tidy... It may not be as exciting as your own but it gives me pleasure whenever I look at this corner. This is me... everything in this table tells story about me... So feel free to browse... You have my permission :)

These are my mood boxes... whenever I feel sad and all alone :(... I look at them and they make me feel better. I copied this idea from my son when he was about 4. I found him one day fixing a shoe box... He had some colourful and glittery things with him and when I asked him what he was doing, he said... he was making his mood box. Then he explained to me what it meant... He said... He wanted his box to be as pretty as it could be because there were times when he felt lonely (being an only child... Yeah, they call it 'only child syndrome') that he needed something to cheer him up. After he fixed his 'mmod box' with all the decorations and stuff... he filled it with his favourite things... Things that made made him happy. I thought it was really sweet for a 4 year old boy to come up with the idea. H emight have taken the idea from somewhere else but I just don't remember asking him where. Well, I thought it's a bloody marvelous idea so I thought, I'll have my own too!

I've been trying to manage with just one box (my Estee Lauder vanity case), but I've been buying quite a lot of stuff recently so I found a good use for my Ted Baker box (shirt) whilst I'm waiting for my make-up train case to arrive.
