CAM WHORING: NYX &ELF

>> CAM WHORING: NYX & ELF MAKE UP (AND AN UNWANTED HORRIBLE SPOT! GRRR...!)

WARNING! 100% PURE CAM WHORING (Sorry to disappoint anyone but my blog doesn't contain any pornographic materials ;))

After seeing red eye make up from fellow bloggers such as Jheng, Mhean and Shen, I wondered if the colour would suit me and what's the better way to find out than trying it on myself?

However, as you'll see on photos (lots of them ha ha ha!) below, although I honestly tried to pull off a red eye make up but it turned out to be pink :( sadly. I think I have not been able to choose the right shades of red. Never mind... I'll have another go using my 120 palette and Shu Uemura make up to find out if it's the colour or is it really me who's hopeless with reds.

...and of course, I'd also like to emphasize that I have used NYX and E.L.F. make up in this FOTD (turned cam whoring - surprise surprise!), instead of my high end ones... well, aside from my foundations and pressed powder.

In this photo, I wore the following:
EYES:
Highlight: NYX Single E/S in Skin (ES83)
Eye Lids: NYX Single E/S in Sunset (ES85)
Creases and Lower Lash Lines: NYX Single E/S in Burgundy Pearl (ES158)
Upper Lash Lines: E.L.F. Brightening Eye Liner in Black
CHEEKS:
Blusher: NYX Powder Blush in Desert Rose (PB17)
LIPS:
Lip Liner: E.L.F. Feather Proof Moisturizing Lip Liner in Bitter
Lipstick: E.L.F. Custom Lips in Sugar Plum
Lipstick: E.L.F. Custom Lips in Crimson (on top of sugar Plum)

I'll be going on 10 days summer holiday up north of the country and I won't be able to update my blog for that period of time. I'd be missing you guys but I'll catch up soon as I come back from my holiday. Have fun everyone with your summer holiday! Don't forget to slap on those sunscreen lotion :)

FOTD: Jemma Kidd Make Up School Eye Wardrobe

Since I bought my Jemma Kidd Make Up School stuff... I've been wanting to try the Eye Wardrobe Plum Quartet but as you all know, I've been spending my last 2 months shopping for stuff that I barely had time to try them on. I've tried this eyeshadow yesterday and my boyfriend liked it so I thought, I'd do it again and take FOTDs.

I know, I know... I tend to post too many photos everytime but I just can't help it. I just couldn't decide which ones to post... and hey...! I think I'm getting good at taking photos... Have a look to find out if you could see the improvement I think I had :)

Face:
  • Olay Definity Intense Repairing Anti-Ageing Serum and Sheercover Nourishing Moisturiser with SPF15 (I mix the two product together to get the benefit of anti-ageing and SPF15 formula)
  • Christian Dior R-Flash Instant Ultra-Smoothing Fluid used as primer
  • Sheercover Mineral Foundation with SPF15
  • Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat under my eye area and side of my nose
Eyes:
  • Yves Saint Laurent Lisse Expert Advanced Eye and Lip Intensive Anti-Wrinkle Care
  • Elizabeth Arden Eye-Fix Primer
  • Jemma Kidd Make Up School Eye Wardrobe Plum Quartet
  • Shiseido The Make Up Accentuating Cream Eye Liner (Top lashlines and corner of bottom lash lines)
  • Lancome Virtouse Mascara (On top lashes)
  • Clinique High Impact Mascara (On bottom lashes)
Cheeks:
  • Yves Saint Laurent Blush Variation in Rose Cendre/Ash Pink (9)
Lips:
  • E.L.F. Feather Proof - Moisturising Lipliner in Bitter
  • E.L.F. Custom Lips in Sugar Plum
(I had to cover the lipliner by the lipstick as it was too red but turned out fine)

I'm still trying to apply me cream eye liner right... as you can see... it looks a mess at the moment. Any tips guys?

Phew! It took me over 3 hours to get ready today... I'm just glad I didn't have to rush. I've been watching Panacea on youtube (Not sure I've got it right) doing great EMU tutorial for 10 minutes and I wonder how she does it!

My E.L.F. Delivery

I got a card last Saturday saying that my package have been delivered but it was too big for my letter box so I had to collect it from the sorting office. It said 9.00 am on the card but I swear, no one knocked on my door at all... as it was Saturday and because of bank holiday Monday, that meant I had to wait until today (Tuesday) to pick this package from the post office. Well, there was nothing I could do about it but wait. I was so excited to see them and find out for myself how they were. I've never bought any make up item this cheap and I was so intrigued with the whole thing. Altogether, the make up items came up to 32 pieces including a free gift. They were so cheap that I didn't worry about spending £46.50 on all of them. I thought, if I didn't like them, I can always give them to my sister or my 10 year old niece ha ha ha!

Anyway, here they are...

I had to literally pour the content of the package but I had to do it slowly to avoid damaging them.

I feel like I'm ready to put up my own make up stall ha ha ha!

The make up brushes... they don't look bad at all and they're really soft. I'll find out what they're like when I start shampooing them. I've come across brushes in the past where the hair came off whilst I was washing them.

The middle one looks like the MAC tapered blending brush

Brightening Eye Liners with Sharpeners (Coffee, Black, Midnight and Plum)

Feather Proof Moisturising Lip Liners with Sharpeners (Bitter, Mauve Luxe and Spice)

Right: All over Color Stick in Persimmon
Left: All Over Cover Stick in Medium

Brightening Eye Color ( Butternut, Nouveau Neutrals, Luxe, Drama and ivy)

From the right: Luxe, Ivy, Drama, Butternut and Nouveau Neutrals

Custom Lips and Custom Compact

The packaging ain't too bad either

Top from right: Peaches and Sugar Plum
Bottom from right: Wine and Crimson
They've got gorgeous scent as well!

Custom Eyes (Ivory, Sage, Golden Glow and Dusk)

Top from right: Ivory and Dusk
Bottom from right: Golden Glow and Sage

Natural Radiance Blusher (Glow, Coy, Flushed and Innocence)

From the right: Innocence, Glow, Coy and Flushed
They're slightly shimmery which I like for summer.

My gift... Super Glossy Lip Shine SPF15 (Angel)

Just tried this lip gloss and it feels quite nice on my lips... not too sticky! It's got lovely mild scent as well and taste a bit sweet but not nauseating.

My new make up collection!

I look forward to trying this new make up on
